Happy Halloween!!!!

Hope everyone has a hauntingly good time tonight!!!

I am well rested. I managed to fall asleep before 8:30 last night. Just what I needed; a good night's sleep.

We're hooking up with friends to Trick-or-Treat tonight. Rebecca's excited. I think she knows just what to do.

Don't get spooked!!!

I'm a Blog Slacker

Guess I just haven't been in the mood to blog. Since we've been home from vacation, its been very, very busy. Meetings, dances, parties, etc. And in between my poor car is just not doing well.

We had a great weekend. Saturday night was a youth dance. Tony DJ'd the dance. Rebecca and I went for a couple hours. Over 50 kids showed up for the dance. It was really nice.

Sunday, we helped with a Fall Festival and spaghetti dinner at the Lodge. There was a dance troupe there for entertainment. Rebecca loved it. She kept spinning around like a ballerina afterwards. I'm going to start seriously looking for a dance class for her. I really think she's musically inclined. She sings all the time, loves playing with instruments and can pick out toons. Trust me, she doesn't get it from me. Its her father's genes. I wonder if she has any of my genes in there at all???

Last night I watched a horror flick in honor of Halloween. I sat through "Saw". What a gruesome, evil movie. It was good, but gruesome. I'm giving it away. I don't think I can sit through it again. Tonight, I'm watching "I Know What You Did Last Summer". I can stomache that one a lot better.

Busy, busy, busy

Seems like I've been running at 80 m.p.h. since I've gotten home. Its cooled off here and I've been helping with different committees planning the holiday events this year. I love this time of year!! It puts me in the holiday mood.

I'm chairing the Toys for Tots drive for the City. I'm very excited about that. The marines dropped off the boxes and posters yesterday. We have a big Holiday dinner the end of November for 3000 employees. I'm on that committee for doorprizes. I just love the hustle and bustle of the season.

Ok, enough of that. While I was on vacation, I had the opportunity to meet up with some of the May mommies in the Lancaster, PA area. I talk to these ladies daily. It was so cool to meet them in person. I had such a great time and I know Rebecca loved playing with all the kids. Here's a couple pics . . .

Back to Work

We made it home. The car was not happy. It's resting in the garage till it feels better. I hope it doesn't feel better. I think its time for a new car.

I had a nice vacation. Got to meet my online buddies, see the fall colors, play tourist and do lots of shopping. My kind of vacation. I'll post some pics later of the kids playing.

Day Six - Philly

We spend the morning seeing a few historic sites. We saw the liberty bell, Betsy Ross's house and Franklin Court. We had cheesesteaks for lunch. Then, off to the Franklin Mill Outlet Mall. Bargains abounded. I spent maybe 50.00 total and came home with tons of stuff. I love vacation and I love shopping. Best bargains of the day - Gap Outlet - tops for 2 and 3 dollars. Can't beat that!!!

Day Five - Poconos

Today we drove north to Jim Thorpe, PA. I finally saw some beautiful fall colors. It is so pretty up there. The town was very quaint too. I got some cool souveniers for the girls at the office. I hope they like them. There's a funny story to go with them, but not now. Save it for later.

Day Four - Rain, Rain Go Away!!!

It was a rainy dreary day. Didn't get to see much of the Amish countryside. Went to the Central Market in downtown Lancaster. I really enjoyed that. I got to meet my online buddy Terri!!! We had lunch. She's exactly like she is online. It was like we just always knew each other. Does that make sense.

Went shopping at the mall tonight. Rebecca got her first Build-a-Bear from my mother-in-law. It was the sweetest thing. She went through the whole heart routine. It was so cute. Afterwards, she just kissed and hugged her bear. It was really sweet. The bears name is either Victor or Bear, depending on who you talk to. My baby is growing up!!!

Day Three - Day of Glitches

Well, we were supposed to go to Atlantic City for the day. But, we broke down less than a mile from the house. So, the day was pretty much spent with me entertaining the ladies while Tony fixed the car. We had a really great lunch, got a few things at the farmer's market, retrieved car parts and pretty much tried to keep everyone happy.

So, I got flowers for Dianne's front porch. Tony's Aunt Cecelia said the trowel was in the basement. As I took the first step down the stairs, I stepped into the mouse strips. Needless to say, I got to shop for shoes!!!!

Day Two - Cape May

What a beautiful little town. Very expensive little. I loved it. We stopped at the Cape May Zoo first. It was very nice. Then on to Cape May for lunch, shopping and a little sight seeing. It was the perfect fall day. Although, I heard there is rain on the way. I wish it would stay nice.

Day One - We've Arrived!!!!!

We drove all night. Finally left Orlando about 7:00 p.m. and arrived about 10:00 a.m. By the time we hooked up with family, showered and napped it was time for dinner. After dinner, Tony and I took a ride around the area and found all the new things in town. Gas is 1.90 a gallon here!!! When we left Orlando we were paying 2.14. What a deal.

Didn't have time to call anyone. Tommorrow we are going to Cape May and then out to dinner. So, it might be Monday before I get a chance to call. Calling me might be a better idea.

The car did great. Except for when I filled up the gas and forgot to turn the engine off. The gauge acted a little funny, didn't show that I put all the gas in. Then, all of a sudden, it was like the car went to half power. We lost the whole dash, lighter and headlights dimmed. It only lasted a few minutes and then powered right back up. Totally wierd. Didn't happen again.

TTFN!!!

It's My Party

It's My Birthday!!!! Well, since I've made it to work I'm feeling much happier. There was confusion on who was bringing the birthday cake. So, we are having banana pudding for breakfast, carrot cake for lunch and red velvet for dessert. Yummmm, I love my birthday cake!!

Here's the Poop

Well, I took Rebecca to the doctor. Here's the solution that worked. We got childrens sized glycerin suppositories (use only half), she pooped in minutes. He said to give her 1 tablespoon (sidenote: he asked if I knew what a tbsp is!!! Um, yea) twice a day for two weeks until she's regular again. He said it was ok to mix with juice. So, my mother-in-law made her a milkshake with it in it. She said she drank it right down. So that's the poop.

Yard Art, Poop and such

Let's see, my wonderful husband dragged home some yardart last night. Well, it hasn't quite made it in the yard yet. Its still in his pick up truck. He still has to figure out how to get the 800 lb. yard art out of his truck bed. He found a bargain broken jetski that he can rebuild. I have every bit of faith in his ability to rebuild it. The hitch, as long as he remains interested in rebuilding it. I just saw my new frig take a notch down on the priority list.

Rebecca isn't pooping. Its been four days. She says she has to go. She had to go at least 10 times last night. But no poop. No pushing either, so I think she's either hurting or afraid to poop. We have a doctor appointment this morning. Here's to getting things moving!!

Gosh, two more meetings to go. I have laundry somewhat done for the trip. I have to try pants on Rebecca. I think she's losing weight or getting taller. She's just looking downright skinny. Or maybe the diaper just filled out clothes better. My other dilema is mother in law. She has a tendecy to overpack. She feels the need to bring presents for every single person that she might encounter on our vacation. Her suitcase is big enough for a body. She wanted us to rent a car just so we would have room for all the excessive things she brings. It would be cheaper to ship it. I told Tony that he needs to talk to her about not bringing too much. I can see it now, the discussion won't happen till we pick her up.

Why is it always hectic right before vacation? I can't wait to get on the road and put the mad rush behind me.

My Girls Photoshoot!!!

Create Your Own!

Another Full Moon

Boy can I tell too!!! Let's see. My alarm didn't go off for me to get up early to be at work for a 6:45 a.m. meeting that I was putting on, Rebecca woke up with a little cold (just a little fever and stuffy nose), and my laptop wouldn't read the projector for the video for the meeting. Because I was late I didn't get breakfast or lunch made. Tony's lunch didn't get made either. The couple I introduced broke up last night. My AF is doing its usually full steam today. Here's to no accidents!!! I'm off work at 2:00 for a meeting that is being held in a little town the opposite direction of home. Its 60 miles one way from my house. I probably won't be home till 11-12.

I just hope this day gets better.

Product Review

Bath and Body Works, Mango & Mandarin - I opened this shower gel this morning. Maybe its because I'm a Florida girl, but this gel smelled of rotting citrus. I didn't find it appealing at all. I reeked of acidic rancid oranges. Definetly going in the garage sale pile, along with the lotion and body spray that matches it. It was a gift. But, I wouldn't recommended it to anyone, even the evil people in your life.

Paranoid???

I guess I am. Maybe I just read too much into things. Sorry Sarasota. Was just a little worried. Welcome Abey!!! I'm glad to finally meet my mystery reader!!!

Another paranoia, the Amish killings. I can't believe how many sick people there are in the world these days. I think when David was little I didn't have all these worries. I also didn't have internet with 24 access to the news. I didn't read the paper except for Sunday for ads and coupons. I didn't watch the news except to see what the weather was like. I like living in ignorance sometimes. I was a lot less fearful.

My first instinct was to say that I would never let Rebecca go to school. I'll home school her. Probably not too realistice. One, we can't afford for me not to work. Two, I don't think I would make that capable of a teacher. I'll tell you this much, I watch very, very carefully over my daughter.

I think I'm going to stop watching/reading news. Nothing but happy thoughts for me. Let's see a few of my happy thoughts . . . .

My daugher
My Husband
My son
My vacation that is less than 2 weeks away
My jetski
My indoor cat
My beautiful house
my little black cat collection
my friends
Halloween
Christmas
Thanksgiving
Fall leaves
cool breezes
Warm breezes at the beach
sunsets over the mountains
my cousin in MI
My friend in IL

Ok, I think I've found my happy spot again!!!
