Santa Brought Me a Cold!!!

Isn't that lovely?? It started Christmas Eve afternoon. By 7:00 p.m., I was fading fast. Fever had set in and I was in an altered state.

Here it is Christmas night and I'm not so hot. I need to be better by morning. I have a date with my Mom for after Christmas shopping. Gosh this sucks.

Otherwise, we had a wonderful holiday!!! Rebecca had a great time and got lots of wonderful gifts. She's so excited about everything!! It was worth toughing it out with the cold to see her joy.

We are here in the Pereira household anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa. Miss Little Rebecca finally succumbed to an afternoon nap. The music is playing. Food has been prepared. Mr. Pereira is planted in front of the Wii. Life is as it should be.

The Little Diva is dancing tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yesterday was the practice. She didn't seem bothered by the big stage. But the whole process seemed confusing, overwhelming and unorganized. 100 little girls screaming and a big auditorium adds up to one massive headache. 2 hours later and I was thinking of a nice glass of wine. We survived.

I hope she naps well today.

Winter has arrived in Florida. Its cold today. Just today. It will warm up by Wednesday. But, for today its cold!!

The Stockings Were Hung . . . .

We seem to have lost a Christmas box. Not stockings!!! Until, tonight.

I went to Kohl's. Stacked a huge amount of clothing in the dressing room to try on. Didn't find a single thing I likes :(

That's ok. The Pereira family is now sporting new stocking for Santa to fill. Good thing too. Or else Santa would have to resort to plastic Target bags.

Its A Wrap!!!

Well, I'm done wrapping. Gosh, we didn't do a whole lot this year. You couldn't tell from the pile. Mostly because David and Rebecca both got one big, pricey gift. We stuck to our budget, a little. And its not Christmas overload.

On the other hand, doesn't the tree look beautiful Christmas morning when its loaded with presents?

Oh well, its been a great year. Tony and I certainly spoil ourselves with stuff throughout the year. So, I'm just going to be thankful for all I have :)

YAY for Friday!!!

You don't know how happy I am its Friday. I've been so ready for this week to be over. Too much going on. Tony's work schedule is crazy and he's working long hours. Just exhausting.

Today we are being taken out to lunch by the big boss. YAY!!! I've been good with eating all week. I hope I don't over do it today. Who am I kidding???

Tony is working tommorrow. I'm going to attempt to get presents wrapped while Rebecca is napping tommorrow afternoon. Its a plan. I'll let you know how I do.

Sunday, I'm excited about. We are going to St. Pete to the Masonic Home. Its a nursing home. But, I love going there. They have beautiful grounds. We're going to hand out Christmas cards to all the residents. That will really put me in the holiday spirit. I used to wrap present ever year at the mall for BETA House. But, they decided not to do it this year, for whatever reason. So, I really need a holiday project to feel the Christmas spirit.

I'll also get to attend a Job's Daughter Installation. Ya'll probably don't know what that is. But, I was a member growing up and a Past Honored Queen. Sounds kind of hokey. But, I loved the organization and it help me grow as a young person in so many ways. Anyways, there's still a Bethel in St. Pete and we are attending their installation on Sunday afternoon. Its not often you get to be introduced with your title, because there are so few Bethels left. I'm excited about that.

I even had to shop for a new outfit :)

Whirlwind Weekend

We were way to busy this weekend. All was good. All was fun. Tis the Season. I'll post some pics of the recap this evening.

The Mice Are Here Too!!!

Its that time of year again. We made the mice last night!! They are so cute. A new group of people are going to see them. Speaking of which, I'm hosting the Mommy's playgroup for a Christmas party. Oh gosh, what was I thinking!!! I hope it turns out good. I love entertaining, but this will take more wrangling than 1000 city employees. I just hope it turns out well.

Miss Rebecca is riding in the float for the dance school at the Christmas parade tommorrow. I'm so excited for her. She's really not excited yet. I don't think she quite grasps what it means yet. But, I know she will have fun when we get there.

Its going to be a Christmassy weekend!!!

Christmas Has Arrived!!!

Christmas has arrived at our household. Much to the dismay of the grumbling that occurred. The stockings are not hung. But, that's because we couldn't locate them. Oh, and we are minus one computer chair.

I just love the holidays!!! Here's to Christmas Cheer!!!
