Lack of Blogage

Sorry for the lack of blogage. I seem to be really, really busy these days.

Yesterday was the 12th annual golf tournament. Sounds fun and it is, but its also a lot of work chasing down foursome for their photo-ops. The day really wore me out.

Then we attended a funeral for a gentleman that Tony has known for 20+ years. Funny how you see all the old familiar faces at funerals. It was good hooking up with friends.

Dinner afterward was fantastic. Especially the waitress who got us happy hour drinks even though happy hour was over!!!

I'm so looking forward to the weekend. The lakes have been calling our name lately. So, we are heading out with the jetskis. I can't wait!!!

Oh, I'm back in scrunchies. Those hair elastics really kill my head. So screw it, srunchies it is.

Weekend!! Scrunchies??? Shopping!!

Seems like we always cram so much into a weekend just to make the most of it. Tony worked Saturday, so Rebecca and I went to Sea World for the day. Met up with B and the kids. We really had a nice time. That night we had dinner at Applebee's and looked for the elusive Gander Mountain. Never did find it, but maybe cause we didn't look up the location before we left the house.

Sunday we ended up at Bass Pro Shop for their camping and boating show. I love BPS!! We got some good deals and great ideas for our gear list. Checked out Festival Bay. Very beautiful mall, very little stores in it. What's really cool is that Ron Jon's is opening a surf park there soon. It will have 3 different wave pools for levels of surfing. Looks really nice, especially the drink bar.

From there we headed to Sears to pick up a new battery for the jetski, then on to our all time favorite Best Buy. I got new accessories for my razor phone. Thank God Tony gets a discount. You wouldn't believe how much they mark up all those accessories.

We capped off the evening with "Casino Royale". It was good, but not your typical James Bond.

Scrunchies for hair, apparently they aren't in vogue. I didn't get the memo till recently. So, I went and got some new elastics for my hair. I have to say, I love my scrunchies. For someone who has very thick, coarse and volume of hair scrunchies are the answer. These elestics say ouchless, but they are so wrong.

Busy Work, No Time & Random Thoughts

So, I've assummed my new duties at work. Its a good thing. Hopefully, I will be rewarded greatly in October. That's the plan. I just have no time lately. Just think in 7 years, 9 mos and 9 days I can retire.

We've been busy at home too. Seems like every night we have to go somewhere or do something. Its just neverending lately. It will slow up quite a bit by next Friday.

Today is the first day of Spring and in 2.5 short weeks the Easter Bunny is coming. Seems like time is just flying these days.

I am very happy that I didn't succumb to the shopping spree that my co-workers were on at lunch time today. Boy did those girls spend the dough. One even opened a line of credit for all of her purchases. 6 outfits in less than an hour must be a record.

American Idol - I hope this is the end of the road for Sumjaya. That little girl crying was just a little over the top for me. Please, spare us the misery.

Think good thoughts in my son's direction. He is soon to be the new Assistant Kitchen Manager at his Carrabbas. Go Dave!!

Rebecca hates baths these days. When I made her take one, she told me "I don't like you anymore". My poor girl. She doesn't like getting wrinkly.

Ok, I think that is all for now.

What a Fun Weekend!!

Its always fun when I get new stuff. I have a new Razor phone!!!! My poor pink little phone display screen died. We wheeled and dealed with a friend and got a new razor for free!!! Thank you Mark!! Its so cool.

Today was cool too. I went shopping. You know, like ME shopping. We are attending a dinner this evening. My wardrobe seems to limited these days. So, I got a new dress at Kohl's today. I just had to have shoes to match. So, I have some cute new shoes. They are higher than I usually wear, but not at all uncomfortable. Good thing I'll be mostly sitting. I love new clothes.

Tony made out ok this weekend too. He got a new double trailer for our jetski's. So we can tow them both to the lake. He's obsessed I tell you.

Did I leave Miss Rebecca out? Nope, she had a fantabulous time at Marisa's birthday party on Saturday morning.

Pretty good weekend overall. Off to dinner . . . . .

Just a Little Worried

Remember my blog The Curse of the OB/GYN? Well my bestfriend, Laura, and I usually share the same doctors. So, when the most recent stop treating patients and I switched to the new one, she asked who I was seeing. She saw her yesterday and told her that I referred her. I guess the lightbulb went off in her head and she made the connection on the curse. She expressed concern having us as her patients. Laura said she sounded a little serious that she didn't know if she really wanted us as her patients. I hope the curse is done.

More later, gtg!!

Watch Cat

We have such a great cat. Our mama cat, who is now fixed, sure likes the family life. She will go outside with us and just hang out nearby and then go back in when we do. She can be so funny.

Last night we were outside playing in the sandbox with Rebecca. Chloe (the cat) was hunting the dog next door in his pool enclosure. She was crouched down ready to pounce on him when he padded by. The dog didn't see her and walked right up to the screen in front of her. Chloe immediately stood up all puffed up. The dog, shocked by her appearance, back peddled right into the pool. It was so funny. I don't think that poor dog knew what to think of it. Yay for Chloe.

What a Beautiful Weekend

The weather was gorgeous. We had a very busy weekend. I really enjoy weekends like these.

Friday night we went to the Pig on the Pond. It was a lot of fun. Some of those bar-b-que people take this very serious. You should see the campers and equipment they bring; full marquee signs, fences for their area and all kinds of decoration. It was a nice evening.

Saturday we met up with Tony's cousin, Connie and her new husband, Rich. We enjoyed a great dinner at McCormick and Schmick. They were such lovely company. Margarita was thrilled that her niece came to visit.

Sunday was just a beautiful day. With the time change, comes relaxing evenings to do things outside. When it gets dark at 5:00, who feels like doing anything. But, when its light out till 8:00, there seems to be that much more time.

I know tommorrow is my weigh in day. But, I'm happy. I'm over the plateau. I lost 2 more pounds for a total of 16.8. Summer is looking better and better.

Pig in the Pond

We're going to Pig in the Pond. Friends are meeting us for the event. It was nice last year, so I'm looking forward to this year. The good thing is its close. My poor, paid for car, is sitting in the driveway looking all pitiful and sad. Tony deemed it undrivable. Something about wheel bearings and the tire falling off. Go figure.

Busy weekend. I hope my brilliant husband fixes my car this afternoon so I can do what I have to do tommorrow. Not fun driving a pick up around.

TTFN!!

Weekly Weigh In

Not much to report. I didn't lose at all this week. I think I'm going to change up my diet a little and get rid of the snacky stuff and replace with more fruits and veggies. I think I'll avoid the bread stuff too. Need to add the water stuff. But, really, I crave my diet pepsi.

Here's to a new week!!

5 Reasons to Blog

This is tough.

1. A good way to keep track of the events of my family's ongoings.

2. My way to communicate to numerous people that I don't see on a regular basis my plans and intentions.

3. Someplace to put all those plans and ideas that go through my head.

4. In my other blogs, its a great place to vent and cleanse.

(Are these all sounding familiar to you? They are to me)

5. Because I have the compulsion to blog. I just wish I was as eloquent as some of the other blogs that I frequent.

Regret with blogging - that I can't keep all my thoughts in one place because of cyber stalkers.

Pictures as Promised

Birthday Dinner Part I

We had a dinner celebration for Tony's birhtday yesterday. I've never seen someone feel so giddy over a birthday party. I'm so happy he had a wonderful time. It was a good time with some good friends.

Wow, Kristen looked fantabulous.

I loved spending time with my Homer.

Kristopher is so sweet. Such beautiful eyes and eyelashes.

I'll have some pics later.

Part II is on Wednesday. His real birthday, I think.

Curse of the OBGYN

Yep, I have a curse. I hope I can shake it. All my obgyn's - something bad happens.

My ob of 15 + years was killed in a motorcycle accident the Saturday after my 6 week post op appointment after Rebecca was born.

My new ob, after extensive testing, informed me that she no longer does surgery due to a vision problem. Then, I also find out that she doesn't do annual exams either. Hmmm, I'm moving on to the one who performed my latest surgery.

Then, the obgyn that was on duty at the hospital the day I had Rebecca and actually performed my c-section was arrested today. Here's the scoop.

Can't wait to see what happens to the new one. They say things happen in threes. I hope this ends the curse.
