Asthma Walk Results

I was the Team Captain for the City of Orlando's Asthma Walk Team. We raised close to $5,000.00 and had 60+ registered walkers. I think we were successful in our fundraising. Here's my pic on the walk of fame.

Update From Doctor's Visit

Well, we have some control issues going on. His suggestion, drop it with her. Offer an incentive and don't make the situation a battleground. He did help with a little scrip to make her real soft. But, it sounds like a common problem. He assured me that all kids eventually do go #2 on their own. So, we just have to work on our bad habits of constantly asking "Do you have to go potty?" and "Are you doing the potty dance?". She will tell us when its time, but I think we are too encouraging and then she will withhold. So, we'll give it a try.

Easy Come, Easy Go

So, I made some money on Saturday selling Rebecca's outgrown clothes (I still have 5 boxes). Then, Sunday I went shopping. Boy, it was fun. I got stuff mostly for me, one outfit for Rebecca and forks.

Forks, you say? Yep. You see there is this black void in our house and all the forks seem to get sucked into it. Isn't that amazing. I need to figure out how to close it. Spooky.

The Never Ending Christmas List . . . . .

I know, I know, I have Christmas on the brain. It was supposed to be a real simple Christmas. Just one big gift each and then some stuff for their stockings. Well, now we've added a digital camera to Rebecca's list. You know that won't do for David. So, I have to add to his list to even it out. This will go on and on until we will have a jumungo Christmas. AGHHHHHH!!!!!

Peas . . . .

My friend watched Rebecca last night while I had a dinner meeting. I go to pick her up and she says, "Oh, she had a little meat and ate all these peas." My girl? You are talking about my girl? She replied, "She told me she loves all green vegetables and loves carrots!!" Ummm, some alien has possessed my child. My child won't touch a vegetable to save her life.

So, I get home and I'm retelling all this to Tony. She pops out, "But her vegetables are better than yours!!" I buy the same brand. She won't even touch them, much less try them.

You got me on this one.

I Found The Cheese

Want to know what motivates my daughter to finally go poop on the potty with effort. A trip to the indoor playground at the mall. I found her cheese.

She will hold, hold, hold it till she has no choice. You can tell what she is doing. You ask her and she will flat out tell you "No, I don't have to go". Tonight, I stuck to my guns. Either she went or we were going home, no playground. She cried to the other end of the mall where the playground is. I gave her the choice again at the end and she agreed to go. In the bathroom we went, 30 seconds later we had poop. That girl has no physical problems. She's stubborn. Plain and simple. Guess, I just need to find some more cheese.

Weekend Update

This weekend flew by. We accomplished a lot.

Friday we purchased a new car. That took about forever. See entry below for a picture. Isn't it cute? I love it.

Saturday we worked on our porch project. My simple two hour project turned into 1.5 days. I'm very pleased on how it looks. I'm also so happy that my house is looking less and less like a Little Tyke's showroom. Here's the finished project. These were taken at dusk yesterday, so they are a little dark.

We also had a brief visit from Kiki and Dana for lunch on Monday. It was so nice to meet them in real life. Wish we could have spent more time together. Pictures were hard to capture. Lots of movement on that day. But, here's what I got.

My New Ride!!!
