I've Fallen in Love

I've fallen in love with a Highlander. We test drove cars last night and its a nice ride. I'll take either car, but if you ask my preference, I'll take the Highlander. I'm so ready to be done. It really stresses me out.

Hump Day

I'm glad its the middle. Just wish it was the end.

My weight is finally going down again. I was on a plateau for about 1.5-2 months. No movement. YAY, I've lost about 2.5 lbs in the last week. Total loss as of this morning is 33.2 lbs. I have about 12 lbs to go and I will be at the top end of the healthy range for me. I would be happy with that.

Did I mention car shopping sucks? Its still sucking.

It's a Total Loss

They deemed the car a total loss. The offered more than we were looking for. That makes me happy. Now we are just down to haggling on car prices. Oh, the joys of car shopping!!!

Apparently my crash made the news. I went to a dinner last night and people told me they saw it on the news. They also showed them extricating the girl out of the other car. I'm going to see if I can find a link to it. I know a helicopter hovered for at least 30 minutes.

Have a good day everyone!!!

Monday, Monday

Yep, this is when the fun begins. The adjuster should call today with the deal. We're hoping for a total. I'm pretty sure its a total. But, I'm the contact and I get to do the haggling. Oh, JOY!! We discussed strategy yesterday. I just hope she calls with the figure we are looking for. If they plan on repairing it, we're just going to ask for the funds that it would take to repair it and still buy a new car. Either way, we're getting a new car. Which leads to taking out the funds to purchase it. Not a big deal, but it takes a little time and we only have the rental for five days from the day of the first offer. Not a big deal either, I can always drive the pickup if we run out of time. Driving the pickup sucks though. Guess I shouldn't complain and consider myself lucky.

Ok, enough of that drivel. Rebecca started her new dance class this weekend. Boy, are they strict. I think its a good thing. We ordered her supplies too. She's getting a pair of tap shoes. She loved them when we tried them on. This is going to be fun.

Ok, off to work.

Happy Friday!!

I guess I never fully explained the accident. I was travelling down an interstate doing about 50 and a car turned left in front of me and I T-boned her. She flipped up on her driver side. My poor car got destroyed and the airbags deployed.

Last night, I was taking the old carseat apart to try and find and earring that Rebecca dropped in it. The styrofoam support for the seat had snapped in half. Had I not disassembled the seat for the earring I never would have known. This is why you should replace your seat after an accident. Thanks to their wonderful insurance Rebecca is now riding around in a sporty new Britax Marathon. We love this seat. Best part is we figure it will hold her till about age 6 or 7. I feel much better about having the 5pt harness. Now we have to dig up money for my mother-in-law's car to replace the seat Rebecca's about to outgrow.

Tommorrow Rebecca starts ballet again. I'm looking forward to it. I think she is too.

My Car is a Wreck

We survived the car accident. Noone was hurt. Rebecca was terrified. She did bite her tongue and she has a bruise from the restraints on the carseat, but otherwise she's ok. I'm fine too.

Now if I could just get the stupid insurance company to call so I can get the ball rolling. I'm not going to wait forever. If I don't hear from them soon I'll just call my own and sue for whatever out of pocket costs we are incurring.

Silver lining - I see a new car in the horizon and a new carseat we needed to get anyways.

Just When You Think . . . .

Just when you think you won't have to plunk down any more money on your beat up car, cause you are getting a new car in the very near future, the battery dies. Ugh, nothing like swapping everything out of cars at 6:15 a.m. because the car won't start.

Just when you think that life is great and couldn't get any better, people get in your life and shake it up.

Just when you think you are getting a little ahead, hiccups happen.

Just when you think you are going to solve the puzzle on Super Paper Mario, your husband tells you its time to go to bed. That I've played Wii too long.

Just when you think you could get used to not running around to meetings and stuff, summer is over and its time to get back to doing the running.

Just when you think you know someone, they surprise you. That could be good or bad.

Just when you think you have enough on your plate to handle, you say yes again. Why can't I say no?

Just when you think this post has gone on long enough, I'm ending it.

Swish!!!!

That was the sound of the weekend just zipping by. I'm exhausted. It was a fun weekend though.

Saturday was the best. We took the youth to Busch Gardens for the day. I have to say they were the best behaved boys. I think the had lots of fun too. I'll post some pics later.

Today we went to St. Pete for a meeting. Kind of hard to explain it, unless your are involved. Kind of like an awards ceremony. Anyways, it was my hubby that got us lost today. YAY, it wasn't me!!! It usually is.

Next week should be slowing down quite a bit. I've been going full speed since before I left for Michigan. I'm ready for a few slow days.

Yay Friday????

Well, the morning started off a little rocky. Hope it improves.

Tommorrow we're off to Busch Gardens. I hope its not too terribly hot. I'm looking forward to it.

My girl is growing up too fast :(

Scenes of Michigan

I'm Back . . . . . .

We're back from Michigan!!! We had a great time. There was apple-picking, shopping, zoos, gardens and just hanging out with family. Only one hot day, well relatively speaking. Apple dumplings were the best. I made it through the airport alive. Poor Rebecca didn't come through unscathed. She tripped and skidded across the sidewalk on her face. She has a boo boo right under her eye. Michigan was fun. Nice to get away for a few days.

Funny story (you are not going to believe this Brenda) - The whole week people were trying to get Rebecca to speak spanish. She does not perform on demand. She just told them that she doesn't speak spanish. So, we go to the aiport in Detroit to depart. She opens her book and exclaims, "Let's count in spanish, Mom!! Uno, dos . . . . " Smarty pants!!!

My first day back at work was hectic. I have a lot going on. I'm not sure how much time I will have for other activities at the moment. I will do my best.

Rebecca starts her new dance class on Saturday. We are both excited about that.

Elisa - I got my package!!! Thanks!!!

Panic Has Ensued

Yep, I woke up this morning in a panic attack. I always panic before I travel. This time is no exception. I know I'll be fine as soon as I make it through the gate. I'm just worried about the airport and getting lost. I get lost easily. But, I've been talked up by at least 3 different people this morning already. So, I'm trying to be confident. But, the doubts are crowding my mind. I told Tony this is the last time I'm travelling alone. Yeah, right. Just like childbirth, the anxiety of panic will fade and I will forget and I will get the urge to take a trip again. Can you tell I feel panicky?

Leaving 6pm tonight on a big ol' jet plane!!! Michigan bound!!! just hope I don't get lost.

I'm A Bad Blogger

I know I haven't been keeping up lately. But, for a while there wasn't much to say. Then, my weekend got busy and I didn't have time. So, here I am, with my head hung low, reporting for my blogging duty.

Went to see the Bourne Ultimatum this weekend. I love the whole Bourne series. It was a great movie. I can't wait to get the DVD to complete my series. Love Matt Damon.

We're getting ready for Michigan. I don't think the weather is going to be any cooler up there than it is here. I'm nervous about manuevering the airport. It will all be good. Just getting organized.

David Discovered Wii

We finally had to show David the Wii. We thought he would find it on his own, but he never did. We had lots of fun last night bowling together. This has been a great investment.

Pattie - The Wii is cool. Apparently there are shortages, so if you see one get it. We got an extra control. Its a pain to keep swapping back and forth. We got an extra memory card to hold games and pics. We also got a wifi device so it can communicate with our pc's. Add in a few extra games and you've got quite an investement. But, we are enjoying it.

The pumpkin patch - Only one little seedling sprouted. Its growing slowly. Something did munch on one of its leaves. I hope it survives.
